Dane and I have decided to join the world of blogging so that we can maintain communication with our friends and family that don't live near us (which is my ENTIRE family). The past few months have been very exciting for us. 2010 was not necessarily the most kind year to us financially, with the real estate market crashing and really hurting Dane's business. However; we managed to plan an amazing wedding in the most beautiful place on earth and could not have asked for better weather and people to enjoy it with. We were unable to go on a honeymoon right after the wedding because we had to move from our apartment into a duplex in the area of town where we want to buy our first home. That was in July, and it is now mid February and still no honeymoon! Dane's business has picked up tremendously, so we are saving our pennies and plan to buy our first home and go on our honeymoon all before July 2011.
In the meantime, 2010 ended with the most amazing surprise over Christmas. My sister Amanda announced to the family that she and her boyfriend Ryan were pregnant (first baby in the family) and getting married!! I am the youngest of five and somehow am not an Aunt yet!! Needless to say 2011 started with a bang helping her plan the wedding, shop for dresses ect. In all the hustle and bustle of helping Amanda with the wedding I didn't realize that maybe she wasn't the only one with a pea in the pod!!
Sooooooooo...the big announcement is that Dane and I are expecting our first baby due in Mid October!! :) We cannot be more thrilled to start this new chapter in our lives, and what better than to be pregnant at the same time as your sister!!
